Waiting in the doctors Waiting in the doctors, Looks as if there’s a long que, Patients coughing and spluttering, And others sneezing with the flu. Just sitting in the waiting room, Children sick and teething, Adults waiting for blood test, Whilst others suffer with their breathing. Breathing like Darth Vader, I’m suffering with a chesty cough, I need more antibiotics now, Just to get this infection off. Cross infections could be reduced easily, Most people complain and hate, Hope we are not here too long, For the duty doctor we sit and wait. Tears are not a sign of weakness, They are a sign that you care, A sign of love and gratitude, Because they are no longer there. Tears will help you release some stress, And help your body to cope within, Your Mental Health will stabilise, So, your anxiety and emotions cannot win. It’s important to remember the good times, And to look after yourself, Because bereavement can hit anybody, No matter what your class or wealth. So, when you look out of the window, On a dreary rainy day with hurt and pain, Have a smile to yourself and shed a little tear, As you remember your memories again. Riverbanks are being breached, Culverts just block and overflow, Causing severe damage to land, And properties wherever it goes. Many people left traumatised, Too upset and heartbroken to talk, With belongings swept away, Badly damaged, ruined or soaked. Many are leaving their homes, To a safe place to stay, Hoping it don’t reoccur, As it rains for another day. For some they were saved, Because help was at hand, With local flood barriers and defences raised, Or stacked up bags of sand.
